Description
This 1972 Buick Skylark Sun Coupe Resto-Mod GSX tribute is powered by a refurbished and upgraded 455ci V8 engine paired with a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and an Eaton Posi-traction 10-bolt rear end with 3.42 gears. The engine was bored .030-inch over and equipped with a Stage 1 camshaft, Quick Fuel SS-750 carburetor, Edelbrock intake, HEI distributor and functional Ram Air induction. A dual Pypes exhaust system with remote-controlled electric cutouts handles the exhaust. This Skylark underwent a frame-off restoration, during which the chassis was stripped and powder-coated. The Ridetech front and rear suspension features tubular StrongArm control arms and four-corner coilovers, while a CPP quick-ratio power steering box provides power-assisted steering. Stopping power comes from Wilwood 4-wheel power disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors. Finished in Fire Red with a white rollback sunroof, the body features a high-quality finish with strong gloss, well-aligned panels and bright chrome trim. It rides on 18-inch US Mag Rambler wheels wrapped in Nitto NT555 tires. The matching white interior features vinyl bucket seats, a center console with floor shifter, a tilt steering column with billet levers and auxiliary oil-pressure and temperature gauges. The classic-style dash incorporates an AM/FM/AUX stereo with modern connectivity, while Vintage Air climate control provides additional comfort.
