Based upon the information and documentation available to us, the engine is believed to be the original matching-numbers engine. Because originality and engine stamp authenticity can be extremely important to collectors, we strongly encourage any prospective buyer who considers this a determining factor in their purchase to have the engine stamping, casting numbers, dates, and related components independently inspected and verified by a qualified third party prior to purchase. This Chevelle underwent an extensive frame-off restoration, and importantly, the restoration is well documented. Included with the car is a photo album showing the restoration process from beginning to end, providing excellent documentation of the work performed and the attention to detail that went into bringing this car back to such a high standard.\ The quality of the restoration has also been recognized at the highest levels of the hobby. This Chevelle is a former AACA National First Prize Award Winner, an impressive distinction that speaks volumes about the overall quality and presentation of the vehicle at the time of judging. Adding to its desirability is Factory Air Conditioning, which blows nice and cold and makes this big-block convertible a pleasure to enjoy even during the warmer months. The car rides on classic 15-inch SS Wheels wrapped in Goodyear White Letter Tires, completing the unmistakable muscle-car appearance. This Chevelle was sold new at Jack Williams Chevrolet in Fort Worth, Texas, adding another great piece of history to an already impressive automobile.
