1972 Chevrolet Corvette LT1 T-Top Coupe

This 1972 Chevrolet Corvette T-top coupe is powered by its matching-numbers 350ci LT1 V8 engine mated to an M21 close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission. Sold new by Jay Kline Chevrolet in Minneapolis, MN, it is equipped with factory options that include power steering, power brakes, a tilt-telescopic steering wheel and an AM/FM radio. With 13,237 documented original miles, this Corvette is a recipient of the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals (MCACN) Concours Gold Award for Excellence and two National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) Top Flight Awards for originality. It was also accepted for the NCRS Bowtie Award competition in 2017 but was not entered for judging. The factory-original Ontario Orange paint presents well, with a few minor imperfections. The original Saddle interior, chrome, glass and trim remain in exceptional original condition. The engine compartment and undercarriage are also in excellent original condition, consistent with proper storage and maintenance. Recent mechanical maintenance includes carburetor, ignition timing and valve lash adjustments, a radiator flush, and an oil, lubrication and filter service. The correct GM ribbed heater hose with tower clamps and choke vacuum hose were replaced. All equipment is reported to function properly, with the exceptions of the clock and right-side speaker. The original factory Rally wheels, tires, brake calipers and air filter accompany the vehicle for judging purposes, along with an additional correct GM heater hose. Extensive documentation includes a 3-ring binder containing service records, original owner photographs, the original tank sticker, Protect-O-Plate, owner's manual and a reproduction window sticker.
