Suspension upgrades include lowering springs and Koni shocks, while slotted brake rotors provide improved stopping performance. The result is a coupe that looks as good as it drives. Power comes from the legendary 1.6-liter Lampredi twin-cam inline-four, which was rebuilt under previous ownership. Additional service performed since 2021 includes replacement of the timing belt, alternator rebuild, installation of a 32/36 Weber carburetor, and a throaty Abarth exhaust system with dual chrome finishers. The engine delivers the lively character these Italian sports coupes are known for while benefiting from modern reliability improvements. Backing the twin-cam engine is a rebuilt five-speed manual transmission. Additional drivetrain work includes a rebuilt clutch assembly along with replacement of the driveshaft center support bearing and U-joints, ensuring smooth and confident power delivery to the rear wheels. Inside, the cabin retains its classic Italian charm with supportive front bucket seats with headrests and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl with textured inserts. A wood-rimmed steering wheel frames the desirable Veglia Borletti instrumentation, featuring a 140-mph speedometer, 9,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. An AEM air/fuel ratio gauge has been discreetly installed in place of the factory clock, providing valuable engine monitoring while maintaining a clean appearance. Additional amenities include a heater/defroster, vent windows, three-point front seatbelts, and a contrasting headliner. This Fiat has benefited from extensive enthusiast ownership, with significant investment in its mechanical systems and driving dynamics.
