Description
KEY FACTS This Land Rover Series III 88" is a rugged and characterful 4x4. Under the bonnet is a 2.25-litre inline-four, delivering around 66bhp to all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with high and low range gearing. This example is reported to have benefitted from a replacement chassis in 2002, and fitment of a Salisbury rear axle and freewheeling hubs. It was repainted by AV Bodyworks in Wingfield in 2018, and from 2021-2022 Land Rover specialists Hayward Revive performed several restorative works. The odometer displays 48,658 miles, though this is not warranted. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES Finished in Marine Blue, this Land Rover Series III is fitted with a bespoke beige leather-trimmed cabin with three front-facing seats, and folding inward-facing rear seats. It is fitted with white-painted steel wheels and features a bonnet-mounted spare wheel. Modifications include Defender front disc brakes, a replacement chassis, a Salisbury rear axle, freewheeling hubs, galvanised rear underfloor crossmembers, soundproofing, a bespoke leather interior, a wood-trimmed steering wheel, and a canvas roof with heavy duty sticks. Accompanied by all build documents in a dedicated booklet, and three sets of keys. CONDITION Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: there are a couple of small marks on the rear tailgate. The HPI report notes that the car was previously painted white. The car is believed to be exempt from mandatory MOT testing due to its age. SERVICE HISTORY The seller states that the latest service was performed in August 2026 at 48,695 miles by J&G Vehicle Repairs, Warminster. Prior to this, the car was serviced in June 2024 at 48,342 miles by Land Rover specialist Church Farm 4x4 and included replacement of the engine oil, oil filter, brake fluid, spark plugs, and prop shaft universal joint. Between July 2021 and 2022, the car underwent a recommissioning by Hayward Revive
