8-cyl 455 CID modified 455 nonmatching numbers engine. It is bored .030 over, has flat top racing pistons (in documents/receipts), a Comp Cams high energy cam which gives it nice sound and mild lope. It is fueled by a Summit Max efi 500 throttle body fuel injection system on top of a Eddelbrock Torquer intake manifold. Description
The 72 Cutlass Supreme 442 convertible was an option for the Cutlass that year. What makes this a rare find is that of the11371 produced, only 1171 were optioned with the 442 package which included a suspension handling package. It has a factory 4 speed transmission with factory installed Hurst shifter. Only 131 were ordered with this option. My wife and I have owned this beautiful car for over 25 years and I have spent many hours improving on a half done restore. This not a show car but a very nice “driver” for someone to enjoy.
