Description
If you purchase a vehicle in a different country to your own, it may be subject to local duties, sales taxes, or environmental levies when imported. You may find this introductory guide helpful, and our team is also here to help. However, you must investigate any duties or taxes that may be due on top of the purchase price before committing to buy. KEY FACTS This Porsche 911 T is a vibrant example of the sought-after classic sports car, in desirable ‘Ölklappe’ specification and with a replacement engine. Under the rear lid now sits a naturally aspirated 2.2-litre air-cooled flat-six, which sends its power to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. This example was an original Italian-delivered model, which now resides in Germany. The odometer indicates 77,629 km, though this is not warranted. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES In 1972, Porsche improved the 911’s handling balance by relocating the dry sump oil tank ahead of the right-hand rear wheel, moving more weight inside the wheelbase. An external oil filler flap (‘oelklappe’) was introduced, distinguishing these desirable cars, and it only appears on 1972 cars, before its location was swapped back. This 911 T is finished in a vibrant shade of yellow, over a black leatherette-trimmed interior, with perforated seat inserts, and chrome trim highlights. It rides on a set of 14-inch Fuchs alloy wheels finished in satin-black with anodised ‘petal’ spokes and lips, and wearing a set of Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres. Equipment includes push-out rear windows, and heating and ventilation controls. This example has had its original engine replaced with a 2.2-litre flat-six, and the original five-speed gearbox has also been replaced with a four-speed box. Accompanying the car is a history file including invoices for the 2020 Porsche engine overhaul, further Porsche and independent workshop invoices, TÜV data sheets and certificates (including historic ones), ownership certificates from Italy, registration certificates
