Description
This 1972 Porsche 911S is powered by its matching-numbers 2.4-liter air-cooled flat-six engine, mated to its matching-numbers 915 five-speed manual transmission with a factory limited-slip differential. The engine and transmission were rebuilt as part of a restoration that included complete disassembly of the car. The suspension components were rebuilt, painted and plated, and the underside was detailed. Factory equipment documented by the Porsche Production Specifications sheet includes Koni shocks, front and rear stabilizer bars, long-range driving lights, tinted glass and retractable seatbelts. The original body was stripped and refinished in Albert Blue, changing from its factory Light Yellow finish. The exterior retains the one-year-only 1972 external oil-filler flap on the right rear quarter-panel, a configuration commonly referred to as Ölklappe. The interior was restored in deep red leather, changing from its factory black leatherette with corduroy inserts, and air conditioning was added. Manufactured in October 1971, this 911S is accompanied by complete photos of the restoration and a copy of the Porsche Production Specifications sheet.
