1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle Convertible

This 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle convertible is finished in red over black leatherette and is powered by an air-cooled 1.6L flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Features include a single downdraft carburetor, dual-port cylinder heads, drum brakes, 15″ steel wheels, a black soft top, chrome bumpers, a cabin heater, crank windows, and an AM/FM radio. Acquired by the seller in 2018, this Super Beetle drop-top shows 78k miles and is offered at no reserve with a clean Texas title in the seller’s name. The body is finished in red and features a black convertible top. Additional exterior details include dual side mirrors, quarter vent windows, a louvered engine cover, and chrome bumpers. The hood was repainted in 2026, and the seller tells us that one of the tie-down straps for the black convertible top boot is torn.
