1973 AMC Javelin AMX 4-Speed

This 1973 AMC Javelin AMX is powered by a 304ci V8 linked to a four-speed manual transmission that was retrofitted under prior ownership. The car has been repainted in orange, and equipment includes black vinyl upholstery, aftermarket front seats, air conditioning, a Hurst shifter, and power steering as well as a cowl hood, a decklid spoiler, and styled steel 14” wheels. Work performed since the seller’s purchase in 2018 has involved replacing the clutch assembly, overhauling the drum brakes, and servicing the suspension. This AMX is now offered at no reserve with blue California license plates and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name. American Motors Corporation manufactured 5,707 AMX editions of the Javelin for 1973. Finished from the factory in Trans-Am Red (D7), this example was repainted orange with black pinstripes under prior ownership and features a cowl hood, a decklid spoiler, bright trim, and chrome bumpers with black rubber guards. The windshield wipers have been removed, the seller notes imperfections in the finish, corrosion is visible around the trunk opening, and bubbling paint on the passenger-side quarter panel is shown up close in the image gallery below.
