1973 De Tomaso Pantera L

This 1973 DeTomaso Pantera is believed to have undergone a repaint, an interior re-trim, installation of a 383ci stroker V8, and additional cosmetic and mechanical work as part of a build completed at some point prior to 2015. It was acquired by the late owner in 2022 and is noted to have subsequently received another repaint as well as an engine rebuild in 2023. The car features an extended air dam as well as retrofitted quad Hella headlamps and rides on 17″ Simmons multi-piece wheels coupled with Wilwood disc brakes and Koni shocks with coilovers at all four corners. Inside, seats trimmed in black and gray vinyl are accompanied by a MOMO steering wheel and an aftermarket stereo featuring a Pioneer touchscreen receiver along with a JL Audio amplifier, subwoofer, and speakers. The modified Ford Cleveland V8 is equipped with a Holley EFI setup and a GTS-style exhaust, while shifting is through a five-speed ZF manual transaxle. Work in preparation for the sale involved performing wiring repairs, servicing the air conditioning system, and draining and cleaning the installed JAZ Products fuel cells. This Pantera is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of an estate with a Deluxe Marti report, records from the 2023 engine work, and a clean Arizona title in the name of the late owner. The Pantera’s bodywork was designed under the direction of American designer Tom Tjaarda. This example was reportedly stripped to bare metal and repainted in its current blue as part of the aforementioned build completed prior to 2015. The seller tells us that the car was repainted again in 2023.
