This combination delivers the perfect blend of smooth cruising and engaging performance while preserving the character that made Mercury's performance-oriented luxury cars so popular during the early 1970s. Recent mechanical servicing included an oil change, cleaning the spark plugs, and setting the ignition points, ensuring this Cougar is ready to be enjoyed. Finished in its original Gold Glamour Metallic paint, the exterior is accented by a power-operated black convertible top, color-keyed racing mirrors, body-side moldings, and tinted glass. The car rides on classic 14-inch Magnum 500-style wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich tires, perfectly complementing its elegant yet muscular appearance. Factory power steering and power-assisted front disc brakes provide effortless drivability and confident stopping power, making this Cougar as enjoyable behind the wheel as it is to admire. Inside, the luxurious Medium Ginger leather interior showcases Mercury's commitment to comfort and refinement. Front bucket seats are separated by a full-length center console, while factory amenities include power windows, power door locks, factory air conditioning, a power driver's seat, and an AM/FM radio. Recent work included adjusting the power driver's seat, replacing a window motor, servicing the air conditioning system, and installing new carpeting and floor mats, leaving the cabin fresh, comfortable, and ready for its next owner. The instrument panel features a 120-mph speedometer, factory tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, amperage, and oil pressure, providing the driver with a comprehensive view of the car's vital functions. The five-digit odometer currently reads 62,000 miles, and the overall presentation reflects careful ownership and continued maintenance.
