1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS Touring

The 1973 Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 Touring is a car that defined Porsche’s legacy, often considered the quintessential 911 by enthusiasts. Born to meet homologation standards for motorsport, only 1,580 examples were ever produced, making it an incredibly rare and coveted model. Of those, a small fraction were finished in white with red stripes—a color scheme synonymous with the racing spirit of the era. This particular Carrera RS 2.7 Touring sports that classic combination and stands as a near-original example. This is a true "benchmark" Carrera RS. It’s been cherished by a single family for much of its life, a testament to its care and preservation. Currently, it wears 16-inch Fuchs wheels and a Nardi steering wheel, but both the original 15-inch wheels and factory steering wheel are included, allowing for a return to its stock form if desired. Under the hood, the RS 2.7 houses the legendary 2.7-liter flat-six engine, producing 210 horsepower. Paired with its lightweight construction—just 2,370 pounds—it offered blistering acceleration for its time, sprinting from 0-60 mph in just 5.6 seconds. The car's signature "ducktail" spoiler wasn’t just for show; it was designed to improve aerodynamics and handling at high speeds, giving it a true race-bred feel. With its exceptional provenance, original parts, and iconic styling, this Carrera RS 2.7 Touring is more than just a collector’s piece—it’s a driver’s car, made to be enjoyed on the open road. We are very excited to have such a piece in inventory!
