Description
This custom 1974 De Tomaso Pantera is powered by a 368ci dry-sump NASCAR engine built by Ernie Elliott, featuring an iron block, Doug Nash SVO heads, steel crankshaft, special valves and springs, roller rocker arms and 10.5:1 compression. The engine is equipped with Kinsler electronic fuel injection, Motek engine management and a Tilton super starter. Power is delivered through a high-performance clutch and a recently rebuilt ZF manual transaxle with upgraded halfshafts. Additional mechanical features include braided stainless-steel lines with aviation fittings and an aluminum radiator with two 14-inch high-velocity fans. The exhaust system features JET-coated tubular shorty headers and high-flow stainless-steel mufflers. Power braking is provided by dual master cylinders with six-piston Wilwood front disc brakes and four-piston Wilwood rear disc brakes. The car rides on Le Mans-style 10-spoke alloy wheels measuring 18x9 in front and 19x13 in the rear, fitted with 255/25ZR18 Michelin Pilot Sport front tires and 345/30ZR19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport rear tires. The all-steel body has undergone a complete nut-and-bolt restoration with modifications to improve braking, cooling and performance. Exterior modifications include widened fenders, a custom-designed airflow hood and a modified rear decklid to accommodate the fuel-injection stacks. The exterior is finished in Ferrari Fly Yellow paint. The floor pan has been lowered to provide additional interior space and accommodate taller drivers. The custom leather interior features adjustable seats, power steering, a Momo steering wheel, power windows, air conditioning, a heater, a Pro-Comp gauge package, a Bluetooth sound system and a phone charger.
