Description
KEY FACTS A charming and highly collectible mini motorcycle, the Honda ST70 Dax has become an enduring favourite among enthusiasts thanks to its distinctive pressed-steel frame, compact proportions, and approachable riding experience. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 72cc single-cylinder engine, driving the rear wheel through a semi-automatic transmission. First registered in January 1973, this example has been with the seller for four years. This example has reportedly recently undergone an extensive restoration, including a full engine rebuild and refurbishment of all components apart from the original chassis. The odometer indicates 867 miles, though this is not warranted. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES This ST70 Dax is finished in a bold shade of red with silver mud guards, a contrasting black frame stripe with white accents and large white Honda decals, as well as a black leatherette-trimmed seat pad. It rides on a pair of 10-inch four-spoke alloy wheels fitted with Pirelli SL26 tyres. Equipment includes telescopic front forks, a rear monoshock, a drilled exhaust heat shield, and a Nippon Seiki speedometer. The bike comes with the V5C, previous registration documents, DVLA correspondence, an old tax disc, and a printed Honda Shop manual. CONDITION Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: the bike has been restored, with the original chassis retained and all other components refurbished. A new seat has been fitted. The seller notes that the restoration project still requires final engine tuning and set-up, along with completion of the front headlight wiring. SERVICE HISTORY The seller states that the last recorded maintenance was carried out in May 2024, when the engine received a service following its rebuild. During the seller's ownership, the bike has reportedly also benefited from a full engine rebuild and a replacement fuel tank in 2024. SUMMARY Reportedly having undergone an exte
