1976 BMW 2002ti

Description 1976 BMW 2002ti – The 2002 is perhaps the most famous of BMW’s “New Class” line, and it revitalized the Bavarian automaker’s historically underwhelming international reputation. The world was captivated by the 2002’s attractive blend of power, agility and style in addition to its reasonable price tag. 2002’s were offered in two varieties in the U.S.: the single carb’ed, 100hp base 2002, and the über-sporty 2002tii. Both were powered by a 2.0 liter SOHC I4, but the tii added mechanical fuel injection to wring out 130hp. Other variations included the cabriolet, targa, a three-door touring model, a twin-carbureted ti and a rare turbo, all intended for European consumption only. 1973 yielded a major aesthetic redesign, with rectangular taillights replacing the handsome round ones, and elongated bumpers added to meet U.S. safety regulations. The availability of parts for these cars is nearly limitless. In 2005, BMW even constructed a “new” 1972 tii almost entirely from its vast supply of replacement parts. This stunning classic BMW is the first we have had in our inventory in 20+ years of selling classics. It is a local trade-in and we were initially skeptical about finding it a new home. But after close examination of both this 2002ti and the current comps, it was decided that we should definitely own this beauty. The original Inka Orange looks great on these classic BMWs and we love the upgraded wheels, seats, and sound system! This example is fun to drive and blows cold A/C (a must this time of year). Accompanying this sale is a very thick binder which looks to contain complete service records for this 2002ti. A complete list of features and options includes; 2.0L M10 Inline 4 Cyl, 5 Speed, Power Steering & Brakes, A/C, Alarm, Alpina Steering Wheel, Chrome Mirrors, Chrome Bumpers, Cloth Floormats, Fog Lights (w/Covers), Recaro Seats, Sunroof, Kenwood AM/FM/CD, Amp, MB Quart Speakers, Rear Window Defrost, Tinted Glass, Car Cover, Spare Tire, 13″ MiniLites & New Yokohama 175/50 R13 Tires!
