Introduced for 1973, the third-generation Chevrolet C/K Series was a major advancement in Chevrolet's full-size truck lineup, combining improved ride quality, increased interior comfort, and enhanced capability. Available in a wide range of configurations, the C20 occupied the 3/4-ton segment and offered heavy-duty running gear designed for towing, hauling, and commercial use. Buyers could choose from a variety of inline-six and V8 engines, manual or automatic transmissions, and numerous factory and dealer-installed options.

The seller discovered this Dark Gold Poly-finished '76 C20 Custom Deluxe in Tucson, Arizona, in 2021 where it is said to have been fitted with a camper but had not been driven since the mid-1980s.

Following the seller's acquisition, the truck's 292ci inline-six was overhauled, body panels and interior trim were replaced, and the clutch and brake systems were serviced, in addition to more work described below. The truck's four-speed manual gearbox has a "crawler" low gear, and it is equipped with dual 20-gallon fuel tanks, power-assisted steering and disc brakes, and an AM/FM head unit.
