Description
This 1976 Citroen 2CV Fourgonnette panel van is said to have been used by a boarding school in Belgium before it was imported to the US by a prior owner, and was acquired by the current owner in August 2022. It is powered by a 602cc twin paired with a four-speed manual transaxle and rides on an interconnected, independent suspension. Finished in Bleu Petrel over Brown vinyl, the van is also fitted with an electronic ignition, a battery cut-off switch, 15″ steel wheels, dual side mirrors, and front mudflaps. This 2CV Fourgonnette is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a French-language maintenance logbook, a 1975 shipping confirmation document, 2020 service records, and a Connecticut title in the current owner’s name. The commercial variant of the 2CV was introduced in 1951 as the “Fourgonnette,” which means “small van” in French, and was produced until 1978, when it was replaced by the Dyane-based Acadiane. This example is finished Bleu Petrel (AC643), and it features dual side mirrors, yellow-lens headlights, and front mudflaps. The seller states the left wiper blade has been installed since the photos were taken, and there is evidence of paint touch-ups. The headlight adjustment has been removed, and the headlights are fixed in place.
