Description
This 1976 Jensen Interceptor Mk III convertible was purchased new in June 1976 by the late James G. Robinson, who in 1988 founded the film-production company Morgan Creek Productions. The car is powered by a 440ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential, and it is finished in Pine Green over tan leather upholstery. Equipment includes a tan convertible top, power steering, power-assisted disc brakes, 15″ wire wheels, wood interior trim, air conditioning, and a JVC digital stereo. The fuel system was serviced in 2025. Now showing 11k miles, this Interceptor is offered in Maryland by the seller on behalf of Robinson’s estate with 1975 and 1976 purchase correspondence and paperwork, a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, a copy of its manufacturers’ statement of origin, handwritten service records, and a Montana title under an LLC. The Interceptor was styled by Carrozzeria Touring of Italy, and approximately 500 convertible versions were manufactured between 1973 and 1976. This example was finished from the factory in Pine Green, and the seller notes that it was repainted years ago “with more metallic flake than the original color”; photos of paint-meter readings are provided in the gallery below. The power-operated tan convertible top has a zip-out rear window, and the convertible top motor is currently inoperable.
