Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
The Mercedes-Benz R107 SL made its debut in the spring of 1971, and for the first time in the history of the SL line, dating back to 1952, there was a V8 under the hood. The U.S.-market 450SL paired a 4.5-liter M117 V8 with a three-speed automatic transmission, and a removable hardtop and folding soft top let owners treat it as either a coupe or a convertible. For 1976, U.S.-market cars featured Bosch K-Jetronic mechanical fuel injection, and the 4.5-liter V8 was rated when new at 180 horsepower.
This 1976 450SL is finished in silver with a red pinstripe over a reupholstered red interior and features a black soft top. Factory equipment includes power steering, power windows, air conditioning, four-wheel disc brakes, and 14" Bundt alloy wheels, while a modern Becker Mexico stereo has been installed.
This 1976 Mercedes-Benz 450SL is now offered at no reserve with a removable hardtop and Connecticut registration in the seller's name.
