1976 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.0 Coupe

Porsche Palm Springs is proud to present this exceptional Pre-Owned 1976 Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera, finished in factory-correct Light Yellow over Black Leather and standing as one of approximately 530 U.S.-market 930s built for the models debut year. This is far more than a piece of air-cooled Porsche history it is one of the most thoughtfully developed early Turbos you will find anywhere. The 1976 911 Turbo Carrera represents the explosive arrival of forced induction at Porsche, an icon shaped by motorsport ambition and unmistakable presence. The Light Yellow exterior, freshly applied in 2020 during a sympathetic restoration in the original color, perfectly captures the bold spirit of the mid-1970s. Refinished wheels and new tires complete the exterior refresh, while the wide-body silhouette, signature whale-tail spoiler, and purposeful stance leave no doubt about its intent. Delivered new on July 23, 1976 by R.S. Taylor Porsche Audi of Vallejo, California, the car spent decades in dry Arizona before passing to its most recent owner in Louisiana, contributing to its remarkable preservation. Step inside and the original Black Leather interior welcomes you with the patina only a well-cared-for early 911 can offer. The cabin retains its factory midnight blue carpets a detail rarely seen today, as the correct material is no longer available alongside Sport Seats L/R, the original Blaupunkt radio, and working air conditioning. Every detail reflects an interior left appropriately original, with restoration efforts focused where they mattered most: mechanically. Engine and Performance: At the heart of this extraordinary 930 is the original air-cooled flat-six, comprehensively rebuilt by TurboKraft of Mesa, Arizona widely regarded as the authority on early turbocharged air-cooled Porsches. Enlarged to 3.2 liters with 7.5:1 big-bore pistons, SC-style cams, headers, and a modern K27 turbocharger, this engine delivers an estimated 350 horsepower and significantly improved drivability while preserving the unmistakable character of the original 930. TurboKrafts EFI Injector Block Package with billet aluminum injector blocks, machined fuel rails, and a custom-built EFI harness integrates seamlessly with a MoTeC M130 stand-alone programmable engine management system. The result is a dramatically more responsive driving experience, eliminating approximately 90% of the turbo lag historically associated with early 930s while retaining the vintage look and unmistakable flat-six soundtrack enthusiasts demand. Key Features: • TurboKraft 3.2L EFI Engine Build: Comprehensive engine rebuild featuring big-bore pistons, SC-style cams, headers, and K27 turbocharger. • MoTeC M130 Stand-Alone ECU: Modern programmable engine management transforming drivability and throttle response. • TurboKraft EFI Injector Block Package: Billet aluminum injector blocks, machined fuel rails, and custom-built EFI wiring harness. • Factory-Correct Light Yellow Repaint (2020): Sympathetic restoration completed in the original color (paint code B6). • Original Midnight Blue Carpets: Rare factory detail no longer reproducible today. • Limited Slip Differential & Sport Seats L/R: Desirable factory options from the original order. • Working Air Conditioning & Original Blaupunkt Radio: Preserving period-correct comfort and originality. • Complete Documentation: Includes original owners manual with service stamps, Blaupunkt literature, tool kit, jack, collapsible spare tire with inflator, and extensive binder of receipts and build records.
