Derived from the same chassis of its Mark IV predecessor, although nearly some 400lbs lighter, the Mark V was the largest member of the Lincoln Mark series ever produced. On all versions of the Mark V, the 402 cu in (6.6 L)  400 Cleveland V8 was the standard engine. This particular 'Cartier' Designer Edition example has obviously always been pampered since new. Obviously an always garaged car and very striking in its original factory 'Dove Gray' color paint with Opera window and a gorgeous all original 'Light Gray' leather interior with a matching dashboard and carpeting. The original engine with reportedly only some 40K original miles is extremely strong and powerful and this particular car drives absolutely magnificently and must be driven to be appreciated and seen to be believed - drives straight as an arrow with no strange road wobbles, shakes or rattles - a truly remarkable car that must drive almost exactly as when it left the showroom floor over 49 years ago and which needs nothing but a new proud owner! This is a rare opportunity to own a very fine and unabused example of an obviously always garaged and very rare 1977 Lincoln Continental Mark V 'Cartier' Designer Edition 2 Door Hardtop Coupe with believed to be only 40K original miles with absolutely no evidence or history of any rust or accidents in this striking color combination! This is a great investment that's sure to appreciate over the years for any American classic car collector of obviously any Lincoln enthusiast!
