Vehicle Description 1978 Dodge D100 Pickup $13,900 This 1978 Dodge D100 Rare Piece of Mopar History 1-Year Only Diesel 4-speed manual features a 4.0 I6 DIESEL 6cyl Diesel engine. It is equipped with a 4 Speed Manual transmission. The vehicle is Red with a Red Vinyl interior. - This exceptionally rare 1978 Dodge D100 is a true collector's piece, featuring a factory-equipped Mitsubishi 6DR5 4.0L inline-6 diesel engine-one of Dodge's earliest diesel pickup offerings from the pre-Cummins era. With just 75,000 original miles, this regular cab short bed configuration is believed to be among a very limited number produced, with fewer than 3,000 units made during its brief production run. Originally a long-term Utah truck, it has been well preserved by the dry climate and retains its original paint with a beautiful natural patina, along with its original plaid bench seat interior. This unrestored, survivor-quality example still has its factory diesel drivetrain intact and represents a unique collaboration between Chrysler and Mitsubishi. Highly desirable for its originality and rarity, this D100 is an ideal addition for collectors, enthusiasts, or preservationists looking for a standout vintage truck with authentic character and historical significance.
