1978 Ford F-150 Custom 4×4

This 1978 Ford F-150 Custom was ordered in Dark Jade Metallic over Jade Green vinyl with the Heavy Duty Towing Package, quad front shocks, and front and rear stabilizer bars, and it was initially delivered to Wendle Ford Sales Inc. of Spokane, Washington. It remained with its first owner until being acquired by the seller in 1981, and work carried out between 2000 and 2004 included installing a replacement long block, repainting the body, reupholstering the bench seat in green cloth and vinyl, and installing a replacement aftermarket sunroof, a Pioneer CD stereo and speakers, and a black dashboard pad and door panels. Power is provided by a 400ci V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case, and equipment includes a black-finished sport bar, a “Trailer Special” tailgate badge, a Warn winch and auxiliary lights, aftermarket 15″ alloy wheels, cruise control, and a cabin heater. This dentside F-150 is offered with an Elite Marti report, a truck cover, service records, and a Washington title in the seller’s name. The truck is a short-bed example that left the factory finished in Dark Jade Metallic (B), and it was stripped to bare metal and repainted in 2004. The seller tells us that the black-finished sport bar is a Ford Free Wheeling component, and an Inalfa Skylite sunroof was installed in 2000 in place of the aftermarket component fitted under the care of the first owner. Additional exterior details include a “Trailer Special” tailgate badge, a hitch-mounted Warn winch, chrome-finished bumpers, and high-mounted Warn auxiliary lights.
