Description
OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE
Originally added to Lincoln's flagship Continental in 1959, the Town Car was introduced as an owner-driven full-size luxury car. Though the first iteration only spanned 1959-1960 in very limited production, the Town Car model was revived in 1970 once again as an optional trim package for the Continental. Following this revival, the Continental Town Car became the most popular Lincoln of the 1970s.
For 1978, the Town Car received several updates and new features, most notably the addition of a newly revised instrument panel and shorter fender skirts, offering a more open rear wheel well design.
This 1978 Lincoln Continental Town Car has reportedly been under the same ownership since 1988, and is finished in white with blue interior and blue exterior accents. It features pillow-top cloth seating, power locks and windows, air conditioning, and a power antenna. Under the hood, it is equipped with a 400ci V8 engine mated to a three-speed automatic transmission.
This 1978 Lincoln Continental Town Car is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner's estate with a clean Michigan title.
