1979 Ferrari 308 GTB Base

Powered by a 2.9L V8 engine with 4 Weber carburetors, the 308 GTB delivers a symphony of mechanical purity and balanced performance. It represents classic Pininfarina styling with a low-slung, aggressive appearance. Sold new in November, 1979 through Beverly Hills Car Company in Southern California, a total of just 2,185 steel-body Berlinetta examples were reportedly manufactured. It has covered less than 300 miles since its last comprehensive service in 2022 by a marque specialist, totaling in excess of $32,000 with accompanying documentation. Items include, rebuilding all four of its Weber carburetors, new BF Goodrich tires, rebuild front suspension, rebuild radiator cooling fans, replace carpet kit, refinish wheels, and 30k/mi major service which includes cam belt replacement and associated ancillary fluids, gaskets among other critical items. Additional updates include a 1981 model steering wheel, Birdman fuse box, and Pertronix ignition.

The well-documented 308 GTB on offer is exceptional throughout and has remained under proper Ferrari collector ownership. It is offered for sale with its books, tools, history file, as well as its original smog/air-pump to meet California Emissions requirements. This 308 GTB is turnkey and ready to be enjoyed in new ownership.
