1979 Ford Ranchero 500

This 1979 Ford Ranchero 500 reportedly spent time with two owners prior to the current owner’s acquisition in 1993, and it now shows 22k miles. The truck was refurbished in stages over the past 22 years and work consisted of repainting the car in Dark Jade Metallic, fixing damage to the driver’s fender, retrimming the cabin in Jade vinyl upholstery, re-plating chrome components, and rebuilding the 351ci V8. It is further equipped with a three-speed FMX automatic transmission, stacked quad headlights and taillights, turbine-style 15″ wheels, power steering, power front disc brakes, and a Kraco cassette stereo. This Ranchero is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a window sticker, service records, spare parts, and a Washington title. The seventh-generation Ranchero shared its platform with the contemporary Ford LTD II and featured a 6.5-foot bed behind the cabin. This example was refinished in tu-tone Light Jade Glow (7L) and Dark Jade Metallic (46) following a parking lot accident that resulted in damage to the driver’s fender in 2002. Exterior details include stacked quad headlights and taillights, wheel arch moldings, a drop-down tailgate, and chrome bumpers. A tonneau cover will accompany the vehicle. The remote exterior mirrors do not hold their position when moved, the cornering lights do not work, and the left door has dings.
