Description
This 1979 Pontiac Tenth Anniversary Trans Am is powered by a matching-numbers Pontiac 400ci V-8 engine paired with a Super T-10 4-speed manual transmission and Positraction rear end. The engine stamping corresponds with the vehicle’s VIN sequence. It is equipped with four-wheel disc brakes. Built at the Van Nuys, California, assembly plant, this Tenth Anniversary Limited Edition Trans Am retains its original paint and interior. It features removable T-tops, cast-aluminum wheels with Goodyear Polysteel Radial tires and Tenth Anniversary graphics. The interior is equipped with air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, power trunk release, power antenna, gauges, clock, heater and an 8-track stereo. The air conditioning was serviced with R12 refrigerant. Recent service included replacement of the fluids and filters, rebuilding the original radiator and rebuilding the original carburetor by Quadrajet Power, along with installation of a new Delco battery and Goodyear Polysteel Radial tires. The car was sold new by MacIntyre Motors in Billings, Montana, on Feb. 6, 1979, and was kept in long-term storage by the original owner. It was purchased by the current owner in 2021 with 896 miles showing on the odometer. Included with the car are its original window sticker, owner’s manual, warranty booklet, period dealer and service paperwork, Delco literature, Tenth Anniversary document pouch, T-top storage bags, GM floor mats, space-saver spare, inflator, jack and cover. It also retains the dealer warranty label on the windshield. 1,985 actual miles.
