1979 Porsche 930 RHD

Type 930 · 3.3-litre turbocharged flat-six, 300 hp · Four-speed manual · Right-hand drive · Light blue metallic over blue leather with sport seats · 112,931 km · One of 820 Rest-of-World cars · Chassis 9309700554 A right-hand-drive 1979 911 Turbo in light blue metallic over a blue leather sport-seat interior, showing 112,931 kilometres, wearing full Martini Racing livery that is applied and removable — the paint and the interior underneath are the ones the car left Zuffenhausen with. The factory plate on the front luggage-compartment surround reads Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, Typ 930, Fahrgestell-Nr. 9309700554, with metric weights throughout. That number places the car exactly: Porsche numbered the 1979 Turbo in three blocks, and 9309700001 to 9309700820 is the Rest-of-World run — 820 cars with the type 930/60 engine at 300 hp, against 1,200 United States cars at 265 hp and 32 for Japan, from total production of 2,052. The interior has not been retrimmed and carries the creasing and discolouration of use; the carpet has a turbo script worked into the mats. Disclosed: no service records accompany the vehicle at present — they are in transit and the documents will be reissued when they arrive; a plate on the driver's door jamb records the car as federalised on import by a registered importer rather than delivered new to the United States, and agrees with the factory plate on the chassis number; a Pioneer head unit is fitted in place of the period radio.
