I had a question about SLS…A small correction to prevent confusion. There is no leak in struts … that notation was from previous owners repair list. German spec SLS system is new and functioning properly! Thanks for all the participation in the auction and for all the messages. It just doesn't lock. Probably not a huge lift to fix (seems like a mechanical link, not a vacuum thing) but it just fell to the bottom of the priority list. Re: previous listing -- Yes, car was listed by my local consignment broker and it did sell, but didn't close. A regional collector I know is a Benz guy and bought another one at the same time...he didn't really want both. He would have followed through with the purchase, but I love the car and didn't really mind keeping it and told him so. It worked out fine for both of us. Buyer paid his BaT commission as promised, and I put the paddle board back on the roof for my husband to continue Summer beach paddles. Re: under door edges -- Yes, photos are accurate. If it was deeper rust vs surface around seals, I would have had the shop repair/paint when I had the other work done, but it wasn't bad enough to warrant removal of doors, seals, trim, etc. If I thought it would creep around the edge I would have repaired, but it doesn't really bother me. BTW, It hasn't changed in two years. I'm not sure it is a huge undertaking, but it just didn't seem worth the extra time/money. Re: locks -- Yes, right was repaired and works, but it's slowwwww (better after engine has been running). Left rear door lock doesn't work...I forgot to mention that, apologies. I don't remember why we didn't fix it...other than we live in a small lake town and I literally never, ever lock the doors so it wasn't super top of mind (the lever on that door is in the down position so it looks like it is locked...) Hope that helps!August 30th, 2026 at 12:51pm ESTTerner10 (1) 0Hi, just a few follow up questions… - I see the car was listed on BAT in May 2025, assume the car didn’t ultimately sell? - Is there anything to be done about oxidation under doors or is that a more significant undertaking? - BAT listing says right front door lock was repaired in 2024 and states the left-rear door's lock does not work and is set in the locked position - is that still the case?
