1982 Chevrolet Corvette Collectors Edition

Vehicle Description 1982 Chevrolet Corvette "One of only 6,759 ever made with an opening rear glass hatch - found exclusively on the Collector Edition - this 1982 Chevrolet Corvette Collector Edition comes finished in Silver Beige Metallic with distinctive brown decal stripes running the length of the body. With only 22,499 (Believed to be Actual) miles on the odometer, this rare Corvette has been well cared for over the years. As the final production year of the C3 generation, GM gave this model aluminum wheels unique to this special package, glass T-tops for open-air driving, and styling cues that perfectly cap off the third-generation run. The front and rear sections maintain the classic Corvette proportions while 245/60R15 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires put the rubber to the road in style. Silver Beige fills the cabin with comfort and luxury via the original bucket seats that have been freshly recovered in factory correct brand new leather upholstery which keep you planted during quick corners. A factory AM/FM/cassette audio system gives retro sound capabilities in the classic dash layout. Controls for the power windows, locks, and driver's seat adjustment fall within easy reach and the floor shifter adds to the sports car vibe GM perfected over the C3's long production run. The original window sticker, owner's manual and service records come with the car. The original numbers matching L83 350 cubic inch V8 pushing 200 horsepower through Cross-Fire fuel injection gives this Corvette its go. The 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive - a first for the C3 - makes highway cruising a breeze. The braking system uses disc brakes with new calipers, pads and hoses for solid stopping ability. For handling, coil springs with shocks and sway bar up front work with the trademark Corvette mono-leaf rear spring, giving the balanced feel that made these cars so popular among American sports car fans.
