Description
This 1982 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler was rebuilt by Vigilante 4×4 of Johnson City, Texas, and was awarded as the champion’s prize vehicle for the 2026 Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club. The truck is finished in Schwab Blue over blue leather and Tartan cloth upholstery, and power is provided by a 392ci Hemi V8 linked to a Bowler 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission, an Advance Adapters Atlas II twin-stick transfer case, and Currie Dana 44 and 60 axles. It rides on a lifted suspension with Fox shocks and a four-link rear end over 17″ Vigilante wheels and four-wheel cross-drilled and slotted disc brakes. Further details consist of a black soft top, steel bumpers, Vintage Air climate control, and a locking center console. This Vigilante Scrambler is offered by a BaT Local Partner on consignment in Arizona with build documentation and a clean Texas title. The winning bid, including the BaT buyer’s fee, will be donated to Truth Spring . The replacement Vigilante aluminum body is finished in Schwab Blue with contrasting stripes. It is mounted to a laser-cut, boxed, and powder coated Vigilante-engineered chassis that was developed in conjunction with Roadster Shop. Additional exterior equipment includes steel bumpers, LED lighting, a black soft top, a swing-away spare tire carrier, and a receiver hitch.
