1982 Mercedes-Benz 380

Vehicle Description 1982 Mercedes-Benz 380 $11,975 1982 Mercedes-Benz 380SL - 74,912 Original Miles - Astral Silver Classic Mercedes-Benz elegance, quality construction, and open-air touring come together beautifully in this 1982 Mercedes-Benz 380SL, showing just 74,912 original miles and presented in its attractive factory Astral Silver Metallic (735G) finish. Part of Mercedes-Benz's celebrated R107 SL series, this 380SL has clearly benefited from years of careful ownership and attentive maintenance. The silver metallic paint continues to present remarkably well for its age, retaining an attractive luster that suits the timeless lines of the SL exceptionally well. The interior likewise reflects the car's modest mileage and thoughtful care, presenting as a comfortable and inviting environment for everything from an evening cruise to an extended road trip. Powered by Mercedes-Benz's 3.8-liter V8 paired with a smooth 4-speed automatic transmission, the 380SL was engineered as a true grand-touring roadster rather than simply a weekend sports car. Power steering, power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes, automatic climate control, power windows, cruise control and central locking contribute to the effortless driving experience for which these cars remain so well regarded. Adding considerably to its versatility, this example is accompanied by both tops: the folding convertible soft top for open-air motoring and the factory removable hardtop, finished in matching Astral Silver Metallic, which transforms the SL into an elegant weather-tight coupe for cooler-season touring. Factory equipment confirmed by its Mercedes-Benz identification plate includes automatic climate control, power windows, cruise control, central locking, tinted/heat-insulating glass, heated hardtop rear window, automatic antenna and U. S.-market specifications. The classic factory alloy wheels and period-correct exterior presentation preserve the unmistakable appearance of Mercedes-Benz's iconic R107 roadster. The overall condition is best described as a solid, well-preserved casual show and touring-quality example. It is attractive enough to proudly display at local shows, Cars & Coffee gatherings and Mercedes-Benz club events, yet remains exactly the kind of SL an enthusiast can actually drive and enjoy without hesitation. As expected with a carefully enjoyed automobile of this age, minor cosmetic imperfections are present, but they do little to detract from the car's handsome overall presentation. Most importantly, this is not simply a 380SL to admire in the garage. It has been very well maintained and cared for and is presented as ready to enjoy, whether your plans involve an afternoon with the top down, a weekend getaway or long-distance touring.
