- I did some homework on the 320iS. The 1983 model year was the E21's last in America. This car is not just a standard 320i. It is an iS, the more sought-after version, and far fewer were built. The iS was a factory sport package added on top of the 320i, not just a trim badge. BMW fitted the iS's with a sport suspension and front and rear sway bars. They also received a factory limited-slip differential.

Description
This 1983 BMW 320iS E21 Alpina Tribute is here on consignment from a Sarasota local who purchased it in September 2003. He is a longtime classic BMW collector. The seller is moving to Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera and is not relocating his collection to Europe. Hence the car is for sale.
The seller always wanted an Alpina B6. He looked at several over the years. None met his standards. In 2021 he decided to build his own based on an iS rather than the complex B6.
The conversion began in 2021. The car is finished in Alpine White. The front spoiler is a genuine Alpina B6 piece with the Alpina name stamped into the fiberglass. It is fitted with an Alpina rear spoiler, Alpina alloy wheels, and an Alpina three-spoke steering wheel. All of the BMW badges and emblems were replaced with Alpina badges and emblems. The factory Recaro seats were reupholstered in Relicate's Spirit of Le Mans Reverse Racing fabric. The blue and orange striping was done to complement the interior.
