They even have a calculator on the tax assessor's website that you can look up the value/what they will tax you. Before this system, you would need to present bill of sale and they would go off of that, and to combat the anomaly of 1000s of used cars with a $250 value that flooded the streets, they created this much more streamlined system. Don't pay much attention @mbeamdream , I have found that there is a surprising amount of people in this world that bootlick taxes.September 23rd, 2025 at 4:40pm ESTTonsOfGas (3) Seller 135k worth of ReceiptsSeptember 23rd, 2025 at 4:38pm ESTSmcase22 (41) 0Someone is getting a steal!!!September 23rd, 2025 at 4:37pm EST$48,000 bid placed by @thunderhawkSeptember 23rd, 2025 at 4:36pm EST$47,500 bid placed by @VTheartSeptember 23rd, 2025 at 4:35pm EST$46,500 bid placed by @thunderhawkSeptember 23rd, 2025 at 4:35pm EST$46,000 bid placed by @VTheartSeptember 23rd, 2025 at 4:34pm ESTSmcase22 (41) 1Awesome bid. Seats work as they should. @heavyfoot thank you ! @amine78 Sea freight is about 2500 to Rotterdam or Bremerhaven in Container, RoRo is a bit less. Origin and destination charges are not included. For the guy asking about shipping to Paris. Rates vary a lot, but is a ballpark September 17th, 2025 at 1:50pm ESTCraigSu (7) 0@Mbeamdream NC is interesting when it comes to determining value. As part of the registration process, rather than pay a defined property tax, residents pay an annual state highway use tax of 3% of the car's value, not to exceed $250. The specific method of determining value is actually in the hands of the tax assessor in the county where the car is registered, not the state. With a newly registered car the baseline value would most likely be determined by a bill of sale, but the NC DMV doesn't actually require any document like this be presented when registering a car in NC. To say it's a bit confusing would be an understatement.September 17th, 2025 at 1:09pm EST$30,320 bid placed by @Smcase22September 17th, 2025 at 12:05pm ESTMbeamdream (2) 0Please note that a state can and will reference auction results for pricing - as it is literally tied to the VIN of the car so best not openly commit tax fraud on these platforms. @seller - were you able to resolve the driver seat issue with it moving forward. Invoices simply state part no longer available for the switch (which really sucks) was the shop able to engineer a fix? The seats are too rad to ditch. September 17th, 2025 at 4:06am ESTAmine78 (1) 0Hello, how much for a shipment to Paris ? Thank you September 16th, 2025 at 11:02pm ESTHeavyfoot (0) 0Well done on the much needed upgrades for this car. The Volvo is valued at $500 by the state. I'm willing to bet the state would value this car as a plain old M-B, not a KS.September 15th, 2025 at 6:09pm ESTDaMaestro (0) 0@CraigSu , I believe that is just to dodge property taxes, In California the authorities are actively tracking those folks down. But then again, doubt the property taxes on an 83 MB would be much in NC.September 15th, 2025 at 4:01pm ESTCraigSu (7) 0I understand Montana is a popular place for registering exotic cars but this car is in Charlotte. At its age it doesn't even require an inspection of any kind in NC, just annual registration fees.September 15th, 2025 at 1:31pm ESTRhinosb (17) 0I need this!September 14th, 2025 at 9:16pm ESTthembmarket (691) 0Additional documents have been added to the gallery. September 14th, 2025 at 4:22pm ESTPatinaCollective (27) 1This an amazing car. A very early Koenig Specials that was long time part of an esteemed Youngtimer collector in Germany. During it's tenure in our collection, we performed some needed maintenance items before offering it for sale here previously. We were thrilled to see that our friend and avid Youngtimer collector @TonsOfGas was the winner of the sale. He
