Seriously, these are a treat for those that have never driven them and are used to the 5.5-liter US engines -Power reclining and heated rear seats with working climate control There's so much good going for this example. The owner is a pre-merger AMG collector and is open wallet when it comes to fixing and maintaining his cars. DC Motorwerks had their hands all over this example for the past few years as well. This is a competition car that battles against others to get from point A to point B in the fastest time. That’s by definition a race car. Performance modifications are the slotted and drilled rotors at the front, high temp brake fluid, two snorkel air intake (these came with a single that sucked “cold air” in from the engine bay), custom exhaust which is lighter and less restricting than the OEM exhaust, wider Maxilite wheels which provide more contact patch as well as a thinner sidewall providing higher cornering stability, and the tires are sticky Continentals. Not to mention the suspension and alignment. Other modifications that make it more competitive are all the auxiliary electronics to run devices when on an endurance road race. Racing isn't just about turning lap-times. There are so many different categories to driving a car competitively! I could argue the maintenance is also a performance upgrade since these races hinge on reliability to win. The jammer is an Adaptiv TPX jammer system per the copy and photos.
