KEY FACTS This Opel Manta GTE is an exciting and rare Group B rally car, presented in a period Conrero livery and prepared for historic motorsport. It is now powered by a 2.2-litre carburettor-fed inline-four, driving the rear wheels via a close-ratio Getrag five-speed manual transmission. A historic rally car, it has competed in Italian rallies since 1985 and holds an ACI Historic Technical Passport for Group B competition. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES It is finished in white with a period Conrero livery, over a black interior. It rides on 7” x 13” alloy wheels, with two complete sets of wheels and tyres included. Equipment includes an uprated ZF limited-slip differential with an 8/38 final drive, Bosch Hall-effect electronic ignition, wet sump with oil cooler, electric fuel pump, and a 50 L foam-filled fuel tank. It also features coil springs with telescopic Bilstein dampers front and rear, a front anti-roll bar, rigid rear axle, vacuum-assisted brakes with ventilated 246 mm ATE front discs (alloy two-piston callipers) and 230 mm rear drums, plastic front/rear bumpers and spoilers, an Appendix K roll cage, auxiliary driving lights, and a fire extinguisher. The seller also notes the engine specification includes forged pistons, H-section connecting rods, a Group 2-prepared cylinder head with 41/46 valves, a Group 2 camshaft, and an enlarged oil sump. Accompanied by the previously fitted 2.0-litre engine (as a spare, needs a rebuild), its original CSAI technical passport from 1985 (Group A) with period race log, an ACI Historic Technical Passport (issued 2024), an ASI certificate of historic interest, Italian registration docum
