Description
This 1983 Porsche 911 Turbo is a rest-of-world coupe that was imported to the US from Germany in 1985 and was rebuilt and modified with an EV conversion after being acquired by the seller in 2020. The exterior and suspension work was led by Coachwerks Restoration of Victoria, British Columbia, and included a bare-metal repaint in Guards Red along with the installation of a ducktail decklid, LED headlights, 17″ Braid wheels, Von Street coilovers, Elephant Racing GT3 front suspension components, Turbo tie rods, and RSR-style sway bars. The Bisimoto Engineering EV setup incorporates a liquid-cooled, single-drive AC three-phase induction motor linked with a single-speed transaxle equipped with a helical limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes regenerative braking, LG Chem 32-kWh battery packs, drive-by-wire throttle input, a sunroof, sport seats, Speedhut gauges, and a PCCM head unit. This 911 Turbo EV conversion is now offered with build records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Utah title in the seller’s name. The car was stripped to bare metal and underwent rust repair on the left front fender before being repainted its factory shade of Guards Red during the build by Coachwerks Restoration. A vented ducktail decklid, a replacement front spoiler, and replacement rubber weatherstripping were fitted at that time in addition to 9eleven LED headlights. Charging ports are located behind the license plate and fuel door.
