Description
This custom 1984 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is powered by a 6.2-liter Gen 5 LT V-8 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Named "Rip Tide," it received a frame-off custom build by K5 Squared in Buffalo, Minnesota. The build uses a custom Frame Werx chassis with independent front suspension, aluminum front control arms and power rack-and-pinion steering. A four-link coil rear suspension is paired with adjustable remote-reservoir shocks. Power-assisted disc brakes featuring drilled and slotted rotors provide stopping power. The exterior is finished in Rapid Blue and features a full convertible conversion, one-piece glass windows, wing-window delete, custom powered entry steps and LED lights. It rides on 20-inch Fuel wheels wrapped in 35-inch Nitto Recon Grappler A/T tires. The custom interior features power low-back seats, a removable rear seat, Dakota Digital GFX gauges, a backup camera, Vintage Air, Dakota Digital climate control, power windows, a custom center console, Momo steering wheel and black carpet. The convertible conversion provides an additional 8 inches of legroom. Electronics include an Alpine 11-inch touchscreen, DroneMobile remote start with an alarm and GPS tracking, Focal Kevlar front speakers, Focal Kevlar subwoofers and Mosconi amplifiers. Additional equipment includes a 31-gallon gas tank, marine-spec custom wire harness, 300-amp alternator and Champion aluminum radiator. The build was completed in January 2025.
