The C126 was readily available in the US as a 500SEC. The R107 was only domestically available as a 380SL in 1985, and then became the 560SL in 86. Thanks for the question. As far as I know, the 500SEC was also for North America. My friend has the same 500sec from 1986, and I also saw 500secs for sale in Miami. In fact, only the coastal areas closest to the water are in the danger zone of flooding. All responsible people hide their cars in advance of possible natural disasters in multi-storey parking lots on the upper floors.
