1985 Rolls-Royce Corniche

Rolls-RoyceCornicheconvertible 1985 Rare Horse Chestnut metallic ~ gorgeous presentation Here is a really stunning looking Rolls-Royce Corniche convertible finished in rarely seen “Horse Chestnut” (metallic) with biscuit tan Connolly hide interior. The carpets are matching tan Wilton wool throughout with beautiful brand new Lambswool mouton overlays in Moccasin. A very, very handsome colour combination throughout. The twin fine lines to the waist-rails are hand-painted in light tan to match the interior. The Chestnut takes on a dramatic effect in strong sunlight but in evening and subdued light, transforms to a very formal quasi dark burgundy hue. Very nice indeed. The Rolls-Royce Corniche is powered by a 6.75 litre Rolls-Royce designed and built V8 engine with the Bosch fuel injecton system which provides ultra smooth touring. This example is very original in every detail – with the exception of an aftermarket radio installed (which can easily be changed back to factory, or something more modern, if so desired). This one is a very clean example from Texas its whole life. The Carfax confirms all. She is a 3-owner example, regularly maintained by the last owner of some 25 years – using it only for special weekend enjoyment. Hence the very low miles. Like all Park-Ward Motors’ cars, the car is being sold turn-key. It is subject to a unique process by us only, known as “Predelivery Commissioning” whereby every major and minor service is done, any preventative maintenance needed, attended to, and all operational features serviced as required; AC, seats, windows, roof etc. The process is a bit like late model cars when they are sold with a Certified Warranty. With Park-Ward, you get a true “turn-key” motor car. The body of the car is straight and the paint deep in lustre and consistency. Most of the paint is factory original and presents beautifully with a very high shine. Rubbers, mouldings, badges and external fittings are all in good condition. The interior matching Everflex convertible top is top condition with hardly any fading of the rear “glass”. The interior on this car is spectacularly nice and original in presentation. The original leather shows beautifully and has never been redyed so it shows its true Connolly hide characteristics. They are super supple and soft. The door and rear quarter wood was redone by Park-Ward and presents stunningly as it is simply flawless and like new. The dash remains original and does have some very minor hairline fractures in the clear finish but these are very minor are certainly not objectionable, as you can see in the photos. We really do not believe it is warranted. Carpets, seats, dash, console, fixtures and fittings are truly excellent and I best encourage you to look at all the photos to fully appreciate how nicely the interior presents. The factory set of lambswool mouton overlay rugs highlight the interior adorably. The car is of very high standard and is an easy 10 out of 10 driver rating. She is indeed an exquisitely beautiful example of the Corniche series in its stunning Horse Chestnut coach work and with only few, in this very fine condition, remaining these days. ~~ This is a very elegant presenting Corniche II in the very handsome “Horse Chestnut” that looks great in all settings. She would make a wonderful weekend driver or to add to a British collection representing the quintessential example of the Rolls-Royce marque. ~~ International buyers always welcome ~ we have sold and shipped 100’s world-wide.
