1986 Audi 4000CS Commemorative Design 5-Speed

This 1986 Audi 4000CS is one of a limited number of Commemorative Design sedans built to celebrate the centennial of the German automobile, and it features Sierra Beige leather and Alcantara upholstery, bolstered front sport seats, and a close-ratio five-speed manual transaxle. The car was acquired from an enthusiast by the seller in 2024, and subsequent work is said to have included a timing belt service, instrument and wiring repairs, installing European-specification H4 headlights, and replacing the fuel differential pressure regulator, tires, accessory drive belts, transaxle mounts, weather seals, speakers, and assorted clutch, cooling, ignition, brake, and trim components. Powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four, the car is finished in Graphite Black Metallic and equipped with 14″ alloy wheels, front disc brakes, a sunroof, mud flaps, power windows, and an Audi gamma cassette stereo. This 4000CS is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, spare parts, an accident-free Carfax report, and an Indiana title in the seller’s name that lists the car as an Audi 4000 S Custom. The car is finished in Graphite Black Metallic (LB7V) and features a sunroof, fog lights, mud flaps, tinted windows, and black trim. Work between 2024 and 2025 included repairing the wiring near the trunk hinge, installing European-specification H4 headlights and a relayed headlight harness, and replacing the sunroof seal, trunk lock seals, and right side mirror. The right mirror glass vibrates when the car is in motion, the power antenna is inoperative, peeling clear coat is present on the hood, and additional photos of exterior imperfections are viewable in the gallery below.
