This specific example represents the pivotal year when the addition of an air-to-air intercooler boosted performance to new heights, cementing the Grand National's reputation as the "Darth Vader" of the drag strip.Beyond its performance, the historical significance of this Buick cannot be overstated. It stands as a defiant monument to the end of the rear-wheel-drive G-body era, representing the moment Buick briefly snatched the performance crown from the Corvette. As a highly original, low-mileage survivor, its collectibility is at an all-time high; it is no longer just a car, but a blue-chip automotive investment.
