Description
KEY FACTS This is a fastidiously crafted recreation of the iconic Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2 Group B rally car, constructed by well-known specialist Jamie Small in the UK. It is powered by a fully forged 2.2-litre inline-five Porsche Development RS2 ADU engine, driving all four wheels via a 01E six-speed manual transmission with a sequential shifter. The identity of this build is that of a UK-delivered Audi Coupe, which was first registered in April 1987. The recreation was constructed using the front section of an Audi 80 saloon and the rear section of this Audi Coupe. Having been built in the UK, this homage to the iconic rally car was subsequently sold and exported to Australia in 2020. The odometer is not currently functional. EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES As well as the authentic design and styling of this tribute, the custom build features a comprehensively upgraded powertrain and chassis. Exterior equipment includes six front-mounted Bosch spotlights, original H4 main beam headlights, and original smoked rear light lenses. Its paintwork and livery replicates the 1985 HB Audi Team appearance, combining genuine HB Cigarettes decals with hand-painted sponsor and team logos. The chassis features solid-mounted subframes, solid top-mounts, KW coilovers, Group B tubular T45 rose-jointed lower arms with polyurethane bushes, and poly-bushed anti-roll bars front and rear. Its custom engine build features JE pistons, Jamo rods, Race-King shells, ARP crank and head bolts, race camshafts, and a ported and flowed CNC head. Ancillaries include a solid engine cover, an Auto-Verdi dry-sump setup, an S1 Borg Warner turbocharger, a large intercooler, a modified intake manifold, twin fuel pumps, a custom Swedish header, and Aeroquip lines throughout. Engine management is handled by a Maxx Sport ECU, reportedly producing 500bhp on low boost. It is running on 98 octane fuel but can be easily tuned for E75 or E85 fuel. It is fitted with S2 5x112 hub carriers, RS2 drive shafts, and a quick-r
