Finished in Black with a set of upgraded tan leather racing-style bucket seats, this 944S represents the sweet spot between analog control and advanced German engineering. Its long hood, wide fenders, and pop-up headlights deliver unmistakable 1980s Porsche presence. Power comes from a 2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve inline-four, factory-rated at 188 horsepower-exclusive to the ""S"" model for 1987. Paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, it delivers a crisp, connected driving experience that rewards precision and skill. The 944S introduced Porsche's advanced cylinder head design and improved intake flow, giving it a higher revving character compared to earlier 944 models. Decoding the VIN (WPOAA0948HN451134) confirms this car as a 1987 944S Coupe, built in Germany and powered by the twin-cam 2.5L engine unique to that year. With only 95,569 miles on the odometer, it stands as a well-preserved and tastefully upgraded example of a now-collectible performance icon. Inside, the cabin blends classic Porsche ergonomics with modern flair. The upgraded tan leather racing seats not only provide a more aggressive aesthetic but also deliver enhanced lateral support during spirited driving. The rest of the cockpit remains faithful to its roots-driver-centric, functional, and purpose-built. With its near 50/50 weight distribution, rear transaxle layout, and precise steering feel, the 944S continues to impress drivers decades later. This model bridges the gap between vintage Porsche character and modern usability, making it an ideal choice for both seasoned collectors and first-time Porsche enthusiasts.
