KEY FACTS This E28-generation BMW Alpina B9 3.5 is a rare, highly capable modern classic performance saloon, and is number 515 of just 577 examples produced. It is powered by a 3.5-litre naturally aspirated inline-six, driving the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. First registered in 1988, it was previously registered in Japan and is now registered in Poland. The car was produced in 1985 and first registered in 1988. The odometer indicates 113,624 km, though this is not warranted. One of only 577 examples ever produced, this vehicle is number 515, confirmed by an official certificate from Buchloe. At the heart of the vehicle is the legendary BMW M30 3.5-litre naturally aspirated inline-six engine, extensively developed by Alpina engineers. Among the modifications were specially developed Mahle pistons, a revised camshaft and recalibrated Bosch Motronic engine management, designed to improve performance, throttle response and overall driving characteristics. This example is finished in the timeless shade of Alpine White with contrasting green and blue ‘deco set’ graphics, over a black vinyl and cloth-trimmed interior, featuring green and blue seat accents. Equipment includes air conditioning, an Alpina-branded Momo steering wheel, electric windows, an on-board computer, and a sunroof. This example has been fitted with a Kenwood CD stereo. Accompanied by some service invoices, Alpina Data Confirmation documents, and documentation from ‘oceannCar’ an
