1988 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Custom Monster Truck

Vehicle Description 1988 Chevrolet Silverado $29,995 "The chance to own a bona fide Monster Truck doesn't come around all that often. We're not merely talking about a pickup with an elevated stance and an aggressive paint job, but one that has literally been reimagined for the rigors of surmounting any obstacles in its way while sending out a pulse-pounding exhaust note that absolutely demands attention from onlookers. This 1988 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Custom Monster Truck is the real deal. It was taken down to its foundation and then rebuilt from scratch with automotive domination in mind. A veritable gladiator on wheels, it's dressed in Jalapeno Green paint that happens to be in really nice shape, especially considering this truck's rugged vocation. From front to back, top to bottom, it shows all the hallmarks of skillful, purpose-built modification. The fully customized interior leaves no question as to this truck's intended use. Its floor has been raised to accommodate the heavy-duty foundation it rides on, and a pair of PRP racing bucket seats with Simpson harnesses sit front and center to offer plenty of support for its adventures. A full eight-point cage surrounds the interior and is properly welded into the chassis to provide maximum protection in the event of a rollover. The dash has been redesigned as well and features a full complement of AutoMeter gauges to monitor the vitals as this truck performs its magic. Peer through one of the super-sized fender wells and you'll catch a glimpse of the 406-cubic-inch V8 that propels this monster truck. Professionally built and fortified with a performance cam, the engine is fed via Holley electronic fuel-injection and fires up eagerly, ready for action. It pairs with a 3-speed automatic TH400 transmission with manual valve body and exhales into a dual exhaust that terminates in Flowmaster FlowFX mufflers, rendering a deep, almost hypnotic note at idle that transforms into a full-on battle cry under hard acceleration. An HD transmission cooler keeps operating temperatures down, while an SCS Quick-Change transfer case makes the transition to four-wheel drive agility nice and easy. Every aspect of this Chevy's foundation has been reinforced to prepare it for what lies ahead, while power steering and four-wheel power disc brakes make it surprisingly easy to navigate and bring to a stop.
