1988 Ford Mustang

1988 Ford Mustang GT 5.0L 5-Spd Hatchback Only 21,027 Original Miles This 1988 Ford Mustang GT is a truly exceptional Fox-body example that captures everything enthusiasts look for in a late-'80s 5.0 car, with remarkably low mileage and outstanding originality throughout. Showing just 21,027 original miles since new, this Mustang is supported by a clean Carfax with recorded mileage events, and the title correctly reads actual miles, adding an extra layer of confidence and collectability. Finding a Fox-body GT in this condition, with this mileage, and with documentation intact has become increasingly rare. Under the hood is Ford's legendary 5.0L V8, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission that delivers the raw, engaging driving experience these cars are famous for. The drivetrain feels tight and responsive, exactly as you would expect from such a low-mile example, and it represents the era when Mustang performance was simple, mechanical, and incredibly fun. Like-new tires with fewer than 500 miles ensure it's ready to drive and enjoy immediately. Finished in beautiful Scarlet Red, the exterior presents exceptionally well and highlights the sharp, angular styling that defines the Fox-body GT. The rear hatch spoiler and factory fog lights complete the aggressive factory look, while the paint shows the kind of depth and consistency typically only seen on very well-preserved cars. A standout feature is the factory removable sunroof, which is still accompanied by its original storage bag, a detail often missing and highly sought after by collectors. Inside, the red interior is equally impressive and remains true to its original presentation. The front sport seats feature power lumbar support for both driver and passenger, adding comfort without sacrificing the period-correct feel. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, and power door locks, making this Mustang just as enjoyable for longer drives as it is for weekend cruising. The original AM/FM cassette stereo remains in place, preserving the authentic late-'80s driving experience. What truly elevates this Mustang is its level of preservation and documentation. The original warranty card and owner's manual are included, reinforcing how carefully this car has been maintained over the years. Everything about this GT speaks to responsible ownership and minimal use, from the condition of the interior to the way it drives. This 1988 Mustang GT represents a rare opportunity to own a low-mileage, properly documented Fox-body with the right drivetrain, colors, and options. It delivers the performance, nostalgia, and collectability that have made the 5.0 Mustang an icon, and it does so in a package that is increasingly difficult to find. A true must-see and drive example for any Mustang enthusiast or serious collector.
