1988 Mercedes-Benz 300 CE

Vehicle Description We are pleased to offer this 1988 Mercedes-Benz 300CE, a wonderful example of Mercedes-Benz's classic W124-series pillarless coupe and a car with a particularly interesting history. This 300CE was previously owned by a well-known Mercedes-Benz service center and was placed into long-term storage approximately eight years ago. It has recently been brought out of storage, serviced to Mercedes standards, and is now being offered for sale.Powered by Mercedes-Benz's smooth 3.0-liter inline-six paired with an automatic transmission, the 300CE combines the legendary engineering of the W124 platform with one of the most elegant body styles Mercedes offered during the period. One of the defining features of the 300CE is its beautiful pillarless coupe design. With all four side windows lowered, there is no center B-pillar interrupting the opening, giving the car the wonderfully open and airy appearance for which these Mercedes coupes have become known.Despite its years in storage, several important comfort features are operating properly, including:Ice-cold air conditioningAutomatic climate controlWorking cruise controlAutomatic transmission118,738 original indicated milesThe 300CE was an expensive, sophisticated automobile when new, offering the build quality, refinement and engineering that helped establish the W124 generation's exceptional reputation. Today, these early W124 coupes are increasingly appreciated by Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts for their styling, durability and distinctly analog driving experience. The long-term connection to a respected Mercedes-Benz service facility makes this example especially interesting. Rather than being simply another older Mercedes that has passed through numerous unknown hands, this car comes to us with a history tied directly to people who made their business servicing and understanding these automobiles. After approximately eight years in storage, it has now been awakened and presents an excellent opportunity for the next owner to enjoy, preserve and continue improving a classic Mercedes-Benz coupe.1988 Mercedes-Benz 300CE118,738 milesVIN WDBEA50D3JA746925
