Description
Born from Porsche’s experience with the turbocharged 917/30 Can-Am racecar, the 911 Turbo (internally designated 930) became a performance benchmark at its 1975 debut and remains one of the most iconic sports cars ever made. This 1988 Porsche 911 Turbo is finished in iconic Guards Red over a black interior and represents the final model year of the 4-speed 930 Turbo. It retains its matching-numbers engine and transmission and received an extensive engine-out service by a Porsche dealer in 2022. Showing approximately 54k miles on the odometer, this 930 Turbo is now being offered for auction in California.
Finished in iconic Guards Red, this example features the model’s signature wide-body design, lower front fog lights, a whale-tail rear spoiler, Fuchs forged alloy wheels, and black exterior trim. The seller reports the exterior has undergone a professional paint correction and that the car has been stored in a climate-controlled hangar. The left front fender and driver’s door have been professionally repainted to a high standard, blending with the remaining factory paint. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is greeted with Black leather upholstery. The traditional dashboard presents the horizontal five-gauge layout of Porsche’s naturally aspirated G-Series 911s, with a boost-pressure gauge nestled within the central tachometer that distinguishes the 930 Turbo. The seller reports that all instrumentation and electrical accessories operate correctly, including the air conditioning, power windows, radio, and power seat controls, with no illuminated warning lights.
